The CIMEDD federates researchers and teachers-researchers of the University Nice-Sophia Antipolis in an interdisciplinary approach of the sustainable development. This school has for objective to promote and to support research and training initiatives developed by teaching staffs and laboratories of the University Nice Sophia-Antipolis privileging a societal approach of the traditional disciplines.

The CIMEDD positions the Nice-Sophia Antipolis university as an excellent center, of formation, research and expertise in sustainable development and in environment.

It is about a global and innovative project where all the dimensions of the environment and the sustainable development are represented. The Nice-Sophia Antipolis university wants to impulse a real dynamics between the disciplines which will allow not to reduce the environmental problem to its technical sector and to answer completely the social demand and the environmental stakes in our company.

The identity and the strength of a university offer depend on its capacities only to ally formation and research.

• To promote an initiative activates of sustainable development within the University Nice Sophia Antipolis
• Meet the needs of initial and continuous training courses in sustainable development and in environment
• Develop know-how, methods and techniques
• Value, transfer and diffuse the skills and the acquired profits
• Serve as center of resources and as expertise to companies, as regions with a measure of autonomy and as the associations
• Facilitate the answer to calls for tender and participation to the national and international projects of research, formation and expertise
